KEA has introduced two smart lamps: the Pilskott hanging lamp and standing lamp. They work with the IKEA Home Smart app and can be controlled through the app or through smart switches and other accessories. The lamps are now available for purchase starting at €79.99.
The Pilskott standing lamp is 112 centimeters tall and is made of aluminum with a black color. It has a built-in light source that produces warm light but no colors. The light can be dimmed. The lamp produces 700 lumens and its cord is 2 meters long.
The Pilskott hanging lamp has many similarities to its standing counterpart. It also has an aluminum design and a built-in light source that can be dimmed, but cannot change color. This lamp has a length of 97 centimeters, can produce 1,100 lumens of light, and comes with a ceiling attachment.
Both lamps also work with an optional remote control that can be purchased separately, but many people will use them as a smart lamp in combination with the IKEA Home Smart app. This is where the lamps can be set up and controlled and they can also be connected to the IKEA Tradfri or the newer Dirigera hub, which also works with the Matter smart home standard.
The IKEA Pilskott lamps are now available in stores. The standing lamp is available for €89.99 and the hanging lamp is available for €79.99. IKEA’s smart lamps can also be set up through the Philips Hue bridge or other smart lighting systems that work with Zigbee.
